Samut Prakan
Samut Prakan covering 1,005 sq. kilometers and located on the outskirts of Bangkok (approx. 25 kilometeres) is presently an industrial / commercial area along side special tourist attractions. King Rama II developed this area in 1819.

Also known as Muang Paj Nam (literally translated as The City at the Mouth of the River) is mostly covered with paddy field, orchards, Samae groves, mangroves, and nipa palms (its essence and leaves are used to make Thai sweet delicacy with sticky rice). River canals can be found meshed across the area.
